I'm a T-shaped product designer with 5 years of experience who specializes in UX research.

I excel at designing elegant solutions to complicated problems in the B2B space.

Previously, I was a transportation planner for 6 years, during which time I designed roads, bike infrastructure, and parking for clients such as Costco, York University, and the Toronto Island Airport.

My experience as a transportation planner has been integral to how I approach my work, giving me a systems thinking lens and a rigorous approach to problem solving.

What I do outside of work

In my spare time, I like to practice yoga, sail in the Toronto harbour, and canoe camp in Algonquin Park. 

I'm a past organizer of Civic Tech Toronto, a Meetup for technologists, urbanists, and advocates to work on projects aimed at solving civic and social issues.

Awards 

Vision Zero Challenge, 2018 

Won first place in a three-month-long hackathon called the Vision Zero Challenge. 

Led a cross-functional team of 7 to develop a web tool that lets users map traffic collision data and contextual information to generate compelling evidence to improve road safety in Toronto.

Canstruction, 2015, 2014

I led the team that won first place in “Canstruction,” an annual charity design competition benefiting Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank in 2014 and 2015. 

 

Led 7-person team in three-month long hackathon called the Vision Zero Challenge during summer 2018. Our web mapping tool earned us first place in the hackathon.

Led BA Consulting Group’s team in “Canstruction” an annual international charity design competition benefiting Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank. We received top honors locally and internationally in 2014 and 2015.
